RESCUE

A lone leaf falls on the river below
A mynah bird praises the dawn
Life clutters in dismal agony
Stifling the last semblance of a song
Sung eternally well
By creatures unknown and prayed to
To forms well known and adjusted
Birds in a nest shift together unnecessarily
Bringing with it new beams of resurrection
For birds always come to the rescue
At the brink of dawn
